Vaclav Liska
Who am I?
My name is Václav Liška and I'm a surgeon at the University Hospital and Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University, Czech Republic. I specialise in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery and oncosurgery. However, I try to be more than a clinician – right from the time when I was finishing my medical studies, I've been pursuing several goals in medical and biomedical research. Taking part in numerous projects over the years, I've managed to gradually build a strong team of students, researchers and collaborators.
When we (i.e. the Faculty of Medicine) managed to found and build the Biomedical Center (thanks to the funding by the European Regional Development Fund) – the first solely research-focused department of the Faculty, my research team and I formed the Laboratory of Cancer Treatment and Tissue Regeneration of the Center, where we carry out our current research.
Feel free to have a look around this website to see our research results, details on our work and, of course, feel free to get in touch with us!
